Beltane is May 1 this year, and it’s a time of fertility and growth. This is a time of fire, taking new steps, and taking action.

The premise of The Witching Year is simple: “A skeptic spends a year trying to find spiritual fulfillment by practicing modern Witchcraft.” From there, our author descends into introspection, insecurity, and doubt until finding a well of strength and resilience within her.

This year I’m doing what the hurricanes of last year didn’t allow: I’m going to Witches’ Night Out! But first I need a hat. The idea was to have a gossamer ribbon around the top of the hat, raindrops dangling from the brim, lightning and rainbow makeup, lightning earrings, and rainbow jewelry. It’s a vibe.
