The Story

In the five years since her father’s death, Vanessa has been working hard to build a life far away from her hometown, her family, and anything that reminds of her of the holiday season. But when her sister desperately needs help getting through the holidays, she drops everything and returns to Winterhaven to help.

At the annual ice-skating race across the frozen lake, she stumbles upon a magical waterfall and accidentally makes a wish that awakens the Solstice Queen, Bianca – the mythical spirit of the season. Vanessa's one wish is for her family to get back the magic of the holidays she had when her father was still alive.

The beautiful Bianca awakens from her frozen slumber and uses her magical ice powers to teach Vanessa how to create joy and embrace the true meaning of the winter solstice.

Meanwhile, Vanessa has two weeks to help Bianca get her second chance at true love before she turns back into ice on Christmas Eve. The only problem is, Bianca’s been frozen for two-hundred years and has no idea how to date. Vanessa trains her in the art of the meet-cute while also juggling her sister’s two rambunctious kids, her eccentric Aunt Ruby who refuses to stop pranking the local quilt shop owner, and her bickering younger brothers.

When her bitter, distant mother shows up out of nowhere to spend the holidays with the family, it only makes it clearer how her father’s death tore her family apart. As Vanessa gets closer to Bianca, she fights her growing feelings and isn’t sure if she can ever let herself be the person she was before her father died.

What she won’t admit is she may be Bianca’s second chance at true love and the Solstice Queen might be the Christmas magic that she’s been looking for all along.
